Extracting files from a SACD rip in ISO format

I have a SACD rip that's in ISO format. If I try and mount it in Windows, open it with WinRAR or whatever, it says the ISO is corrupt, but it definitely isn't.

I used a program by Sonore called ISO2DVD which allowed me to extract the files from the ISO, but they were in DFF format and I couldn't do much with them.

I extracted the files again, but this time, I checked the box in ISO2DVD to extract the files in Sony DSF format. This time it worked and the 10 music tracks were extracted from the ISO.

The problem I have is that they just don't sound right. It sounds like someone has cranked up the bass, or overly compressed the audio or whatever. I have 1 track that was ripped from the same SACD by someone else, which is in FLAC format, and that sounds perfect. There has only ever been one release of this album on SACD, so it's not because of different mastering or whatever.

I really can't see what I'm doing wrong, cos the ISO2DVD program is as simple as it gets. I've tried converting the DSF files to FLAC, just in case MusicBee was doing something weird with DSF files in particular, but it made no difference.

Anyone know anything about this stuff?

I don't own it man. A lot of SACDs are expensive due to them selling out and never being repressed, and I'm not gonna drop £100+ on one.

You do need a special player to play them. Lots of them have CD audio on them as well, so that part will play in a regular CD player, but you need a proper player to access the SACD layer.

I guess are you sure the ISO has been successfully produced by whoever ripped it? Foobar apparently has a SACD plug in, just not sure if you need something special to mount the ISO. At least if you can mount it and play it you can check the ISO is fundamentally OK.
