Steve Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 A lot of headsets aimed at gamers are garbage IMO. I've bought quite a few of them and rarely been satisfied, even when spending a bunch of money on one. An awesome combination is the Philips SHP9500, with a V-MODA BoomPro mic. The cable on the SHP9500 detaches at the headset end, then you just plug the V-MODA in instead which adds the mic. Currently you can get both for 85 bucks/pounds on Amazon, which is crazy value. I'd never even heard of the headset until the other day, but a friend of mine has one and honestly, it sounds amazing for the money. I could not believe that it's a headset that you can buy for under 60 quid, and I also never thought I'd be recommending anything made by Philips, but there you go. 1 Quote
djdiggla Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 I just bought a Plantronics RIG 800LX... normally around $130 but Amazon has them as refurbs for $45. I might end up using it on my xbox since the Polk 4shot I use is flawed and picks up my audio even when using the boom... mostly bought it to use with my Switch since it's compatible with that too when in PC mode. 1 Quote
Steve Posted December 10, 2019 Author Posted December 10, 2019 I've heard good things about those Plantronics and 45 bucks is a bargain! Quote
